The expected 12,500 MWh of electricity generated per year will be sold to the Turkish state for the first 10 years under a FIT mechanism.

‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member Trina Solar has supplied 33,800 multicrystalline 260W 60-cell Honey modules to the Yahyalı Solar Power Plant in Turkey, said to be one of the largest plants built in the country to date.

The plant was developed by renewable energy specialist Citus Power, which also assumes the EPC role for the project, which is situated in Yahyalı, in Kayseri province in Central Anatolia. The expected 12,500 MWh of electricity generated per year will be sold to the Turkish state for the first 10 years under a FIT mechanism.

Trina Solar noted that it had provided modules for the various installation phases from the fourth quarter 2015 through to the second quarter of 2016, with installation completed in the summer and connected to the grid in August, 2016.
